I would hazard a guess that 95% of new CDL graduates never complete 1 year driving. Why do you think these Driving Schools are still in business?

I went to a school in Atlanta in 2007 and out of all the graduates I kept up with only two of us were driving after a year. Many guys I was shocked were even at the school honestly. Long Records or dumb as rocks

Guys/Girls go into it thinking there gonna make 1000s of dollars right off the bat and when they don't, they quit.

That, and the fact that the trucking lifestyle can be over-glamourized at times. They arent told how much BS it really can be at times. The ones who quit made the decision eyes wide shut

It's really not what it used to be. I started before CSA and now you got CSA, PSP, Clearinghouse, DAC, Cameras in trucks, Automatics... I mean it's like going to an interview at the NASA Space station.

I have no idea what it used to be like. I got in the industry in 2010. The CSA was just making a move then, and Elogs was preparing for a serious push. The regs dont bother me because I cant remember them all
