Don't live near a truck stop? Where do you park on hometime?

That's what we plan to do once we get the financials straight lol.

 

So how close is the nearest trkstop from you?Try doing a google search.I did and found some trkstops.So what if its 5 miles from your home.But you living in the east you may have to pay to leave trl their.You could see if your company has any customers that'll let you park there too.

 

45 minutes is nothing,some park futher then that for hometime

 

You can use Google Maps satellite view and look around for spaces. Many if not most guys use their driveway or the street, I imagine. If a moving van can get in someplace I assume there's room, but Walmart has worked for me. I used to speak to whatever manager was on-duty before leaving my truck there for more than 12 hours, never had a problem. They're open 24/7 and ostensibly maintain security cameras, which is probably why we don't often hear of vehicles being tampered with in their parking lots. Close the curtains and no one can tell if you might in the sleeper or not, so only the severely drug-addled would consider messing with a rig... probably...?

 

Pretty much already said but
Check around for companies that have more lot than they use and ask if they would rent you a spot a few nights a month, look around your area for large acreage and see if the owner will do the same ( help you look that is )jk

and check CL or local papers, drive around looking for rental signs

 

Some of the drivers are lucky that has enough land to take the entire rig home.

 

My company has a drop yard about 30 mintues from where I live. but then I discovered by accident that the H.E.B (Texas supermarket store) around the block just a 10 min walk from me is truck driver friendly and there was a couple of trucks always parked there. I started parking there instead for my TAH and so far had no problems. Look around at strip mall parking lots and supermarkets near you to see if trucks are parked there. Some apartment complexes will let you park bobtail on the property. I can on mine but I don't because I don't want nobody to know that I'm a truck driver and risk getting my apartment getting broke into because I'm home only like once a month.

 

Maybe they'll rent some space...

 

Will truck stops let you park there for 2-4 days?? I've got Love's, Shell, and FlyingJ stops within about 3 miles of my home, that would be absolutely ideal for me.
