I have just finished training with Werner and now a qualified driver with them. Now with that being said, let me warn any new driver thinking about Werner. They lie, cheat, and steal. Everything I was told about Werner from the recruiter at the cdl school, Werner recruiter on the phone, Sdm, and dispatch, has been total lies. Not one thing that they have said has been the truth. In the three months I have been with the company I have not met one person that likes their job with Werner or is even nice about it. They condition you right from the start that they do not care and if you dont like it quit. And by the way, they will take you as far away from your home as possible during training and then tell you that you have to find your own way home if you quit. Out of 4 people that I went to cdl school with that went with Werner, I am the only one to finish training. Why do you think they hire 1000 new people every week around the country!?!? They go through newbies like water and toss them aside. They will try to get you to run illegal and over weight cargo all the time instead of the trainers running it. That way if you get caught it is no sweat off their back and can replace you in two minutes. This is not made up people. Werner sucks big time. Beware.
Dont walk..Run from Werner!

If so someone should had done a little search on here. Sorry for your predicament. I drove for a week team with an ex-Weiner driver. He actually hit a light standard with the front of our van trailer and wondered what I did to make that horrible screeching noise from the bunk. Then he was trying to re-fuel and wanted to put dyed diesel into our rig. I was the lead driver and I would have been held responsible for it. No wonder I used to always re-fuel my truck and maintain it on the road. -
He did his research on here,
but went to Weiner anyways !!!!!!
go figure............. -
Never know till you try ... Right ? -
Like lambs to the slaughter.

Yeah I wish I would have found this website BEFORE Werner screwed me!

As I read all these posts in this section I cant help but wonder WHY these trucking companies have to treat professional truck drivers so bad!. People spend alot of time and much money learning to drive a truck and yet from what I have learned on this forum these same drivers would have had a better job and be treated better at Mcdonalds!. I know that some people cant handle this job and quit for their own reasons but I think a professional truck driver should be treated with the respect of a pilot or engineer of a train. The lives of many people are in the hands of a truck driver as he or she goes down the road. When will these companies bestow the respect due the driver?. If these complaints are really true I have only 1 thing to say to these trucking companies!........ Shame on you!!!!. I myself am a new truck driver but was blessed early in my career to be able to drive locally. I am home in my own bed each night and that's all right with me. My boss takes care of our needs, has a company BBQ every Friday, he pays for our health insurance the drivers pay no out of pocket expenses at all. I still take home the same money a OTR driver makes each week. If my boss can do these things and still make money for his company WHY cant these mega companies do the same?
