Ouch that hurt just reading about it. I did that to my big toe putting wood in the fire with slippers on. Big piece rolled off from 4ft up. Months and months before my nail grew back.

A few years ago I was on the 1in gun and my dad was on the other side and the wrench slipped. All 2500lbs of force got his middle finger. He almost lost it. It's still sensitive to this day

 

i used to schedule my doctor appointments on fridays, my day off as well as saturdays.

a couple of times, my dimwitted boss said i need to check with him before i take my days off to be sure i wasn't needed.

i said, "sure George, i'll be sure to disconnect my phone so you can't call me in to work".

he never bothered me after that.

work waits for me, i didn't give up my off days, could have cared less if i got suspended or fired. where i live? too many trucking companies to choose from
