DOT Blitz- Brake shoe wear indicator???

    they can but every time I’ve ever been inspected with disc brakes they don’t. ‍

    I don't run Bendix disc brakes, mine are Meritor.

    Even VA State Police didn't check pad or rotor depth at my last Level 1 last year. He was more concerned about tire tread depth, and tanker load securement.

    2nd time in 20 years I've seen a state trooper climb the ladder on my tanker to check washout caps. I usually offer my chemical gloves, because they start out with bare hands. #########, especially when I'm hauling corrosive.

    Partially this depends on if you remove the dust shield or not,

    With the dust shield, in mud the disc brakes collect and carry/hold the mud between the disc and brake pad, on drum brakes a sheid actually helps keep the mud out of there.

    At least from my experience with them.
