DOT, CHP HARRASSING TRUCKERS

First time i pulled into that hell hole on Cherry st and I-10 CHP had 2 desperados face down in the driveway at gun point , find another job that doesn't go to Cali and if you live there call U-Haul and get on the waiting list.

 

As a driver, it is a good thing to wear boots. Good quality ones, water and oil proof are great features, well worth the expense.

 

Dont call the frickin cops unless its absolutely necessary.........

Cops are sworn in to Serve and Protect from our tax dollars......

This poor guy wanted to make a report for possible theft and the #### tard cop puts salt in the wound by giving him an inspection.....

What a piece of work I tell ya.

 

I made the mistake of pulling in there once, I would never have even parked, but I wanted a cup of coffee bad. When I got my cup, I ask if they issued you a gun if you chose to spend the night. lol

 

About 4 years ago at the Tehachapi Love's I woke up at 3AM to see DOT issuing tickets to old iron trucks without the clean idle stickers who where idling on the lot. That's the only time I've seen them on a private lot. Today they have a lot of regs that don't get followed by out of state drivers such as the CARB compliance on reefer trailers. If they catch you under load without being compliant, it's a hefty fine. You need to have your ARB numbers on the side of the reefer until and clearly visible. I can't wait to get out of this state.

It was my understanding that the FMCSA no longer requires drivers to submit to an inspection while parked and off duty. If that's the case, I would have to problem ignoring them.

 

Can you post a link to the CHP website that you mentioned.? We should know more about this.

 

Extremely ... I had my fender with the sticker replaced - thanks Werner - and Cummins had to come, certify the engine and issue the sticker. Work was done at a dealer body shop and it had to be an actual Cummins mechanic, not the dealers Cummins certified mechanic.
