During a level 2 inspection I was ticketed for not having a fire extinguisher. In Texas that is 2 points on the csr will this go on my mvr? How long will this affect my license and employability?

The points go on your CSA score not your license they don't apply points to your license

Why would you ever get in a truck with no fire extinguisher?

im a transport driver but the company had a slow day so I was sent to pick up a bobtail to bring it back to the shop. Low and behold there's a dot inspection on a farm road. Needless to say a fire extinguisher wasn't the only thing wrong with the piece of crap but that's all he cited me for. The fueling crew that normally operates the truck even took the time to write "this truck sucks" on the back of it. missing mudflap, broken windshield, inop headlight, no dot books, inop license plate light was all noted on the ticket though

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Thy only changed CSA so the general public can't see it. The point system is still there. We just had an O/O fired because he had gotten a bunch of points from an inspection. No tickets issued just warnings and most were things he fixed on the spot but still got points assigned. And the problem with that is you can't fight a warning ticket so the points stay on.

    hunted and rachi Thank this.
