For whatever reason the handle valve vibrated back to the off position. They'll do that sometimes.
The driver was wiping mud off of his taillights.
The truck was parked on a slight upgrade and when it started to move the driver tried to jump clear but tripped and fell down. The left trailer tires ran over his foot. He was lucky it was just his foot. The truck continued down the hill backwards, picking up speed, until it came to a turn in the road and continued straight off the edge and down a fifty foot drop. It was totalled.
The next truck out found the driver laying in the road, called for help, and he was taken to the hospital. His left foot was amputated.
He's back driving again but now when he gets out of the truck he sets the parking brake. Like you're supposed to.
