Yesterday was my first day out. Went for a turn in London, ohio. Headed back to Mt. Sterling this morning.

Week 5 of driver training complete. One or two weeks left before being released to run solo. Had a great week this week, trip to GA, IL. Then more IL To fill out the week. Sunday through Thursday, time for a weekend off. Out Sunday to places unknown at this time yet. Safe miles to all!

Week 6 of driver training about finished. Be back to Mt.Sterling,IL. In the AM. One more week with my trainer, week #7 and then solo. Having fun, blessed with an awesome trainer!

DOT came to the school I got my CDL at. I was intrigued, called their hiring manager. Spoke with him at length. This older guy with bad shoulders decided the level of freight handling would be a lose for both of us. I respected him for being honest about it. They sounded like a place that wanted to keep drivers happy and on the job with them. Glad things are going well!

Week #7 of driver training, started in IL Monday to Flowood,MS. To Dyersburg, TN. Tuesday. Wednesday am from TN to Hammond,LA. Pick up in the Hammond area then roll back to IL. Training is finished after this week, 7 weeks training & then SOLO next week. Still having fun in my second career. Safe miles all!

First week solo driving after training with an awesome trainer! Sunday off to Wisconsin, back to Illinois on Monday after a delivery & a pick up. Rolling out Tuesday for a transfer in Illinois with another driver. Starting slow & then ramping up the number & work required for each load. Still enjoying my new career. Safe miles to all!
