All I know is what I read in the newspaper.
Dot Foods ranks 35th among the private carriers. They purchase groceries, flatware and janitorial supplies from manufacturers and redistribute to food processors and food-service distributors through seven distribution centers. They operate 767 tractors and 1,185 trailers. They own Dot Transportation that provides dry van and refrigerated TL and LTL service.

yeah i was wonderin u think i got a chance bein 21 years old n right out of one of Dot's choice of schools to get hired??? -
I assume their business has been steady during the recession, and driver turnover is low. Why don't you contact the company? Did your school say they were recommended by Dot? Did you finish near the top of your class?

If you read my old post you'll get all the information about DOT you want. Your age will have no bearing on getting hired. Actually it may help you. They like younmg guys because it's hard work and a l ot of the older guys that work there can't throw groceries anymore or they simply don't want to. They are a good company and if you don't mind hard work you'll do good there and be home often. If i had not relocated to the area I did I would still be there.
producepimp Thanks this.
