I have passed all the written test for a CDL including hazmat endorcment, the Secretary of State in Michigan told me to get my medical exam and get the fingerprint scan, but at hazprints it wants a valid cdl licence number, not just my regular drivers licence. who is right, thanks

    Hey there Rainbow -

For what it is worth, in NC, my CDL# is the same as my class C was. Not sure about Michigan, but I would imagine the number on your permit is probably going to be the one you will use. Call hazprints and ask them. There is a contact number on the webpage.

    Good luck

    hey rainbow,

scooterdawg's state is different than michigan, you are not allowed to take the haz-mat without already having a valid cdl's. The number on you normal driver license is the same number that you will be given on your cdl's. Just went through the same process, you can take all the endorsement except for hazmat. Once you get your cdl's fill out application for finger print screen, and background check through tsa, they will send you a letter saying say or no , if yes you take the letter to sos and take test and receive your endorsement, they will not even let you test before tsa send you a letter clearing you. Hope this help let me know how things work out.
