What's up, folks? May this reach you in good health and spirits.
I recently obtained my 2 year DOT Med Card and CDL A Learner Permit.
On my long form I noted that I occasionally drink alcohol and I had a substance abuse problem over 10 years. That said, the examiner cleared me because of the time gap and my having completed a rehabilation program.
I also have a felony for selling drugs from over 15 years ago.
I have spoken to the staff at the driving school I attend and some recruiters and they seem confident I can find a job.
If an employer requests my DOT long form will I have issues with being hired considering what I mentioned above?
Thanks, your help is appreciated!

If you end up going to one of the megas, they will probably do another physical anyway. If they do don't disclose any info like that. That's just crazy.
User666 Thanks this. -
I was under the impression that my medical records would be reviewed. So it made sense to be honest at the time.
Assuming a copy of the long form is requested, won't HR see it during the hiring process? -
They Will make you take another with their doctor probably

Most companies don't care about a felony that old.
As for felonies on a job application, answer the question honestly.
"Have you had a felony within the last 10 years?"
Answer, "No."
and so on. -

You're hirable anyway, but your choices may be limited.
