DOT medical card to be returned to employer if quit

    In CA it only attached to your drivers license if you take it to DMV, Then they will enter it into the system give you a receipt, and you get it back. Just went thru it.

    Well, some states you can do it on-line, but yea.

    Actually we could get technical and say maybe. It's attached to your CDL. If you need a med card and not a CDL (CMV's 10k to 26k lbs) you need to carry your med card as it's not attached.

    10 years ago the med card wasn't tied in you license at the dmv like it is now. And 10 years is how old this thread is.

    Using some of Mike_MD's logic, a person who got their CDL thru a companies school program would have to surrender their CDL to the company when they quit or are fired.

    Not going to happen.
