You will not need a ifta permit if you stay in 1 state, contact your state for intrastate ath. its only 25 per year in GA. your state may be more?Buying insur. will be difficult.
-
What about a dot number.. do I need one
-
Call OOIDA they'll get you all the info you need
-
You call and pay 25$ to ga. then use the GA DOT # they give you to buy insur. for hauling inside ga. only then after ga has copy of insur. they will turn your ga. dot num. on an you can name your game., if you are caught out side ga. you are SOL.

NC. dept of trans. but call about insur. first because the 25 $ you pay to get started will not be refunded if you cant buy 750,000 of insur. that is good inside of nc. only

The NC tag will not be good if its a irp. after you have your intrastate num. The insur. you need is not fire and theft or bob/tail but you can call the co. that you are paying now to get a quote on insur. but if you allready have a IRP tag in your name you may want to go ahead and pay the 300$ fee to have dot # for all states instead of just nc. unless you are just going to haul wood or chips, then they will want to send you just over state lines and tell you everybody does it.
