The " Duck Walk" as it is know is used for military in processing it helps eliminate those with flat feet.

Out of the 5 companies I have worked for I've only been required to do it once and that was for Marten Transport but it was something the company made us do no the fruit cake doctor giving the physical who likes watching guys drop their pants and cough. Only time I've ever had to do that as well. Was wondering if we were in for football try outs or a DOT physical.

You forgot the 100 yard dash, the balance beam and walking the tight rope!

    Just kidding.

Doing the duck walk isn't as bad as when they require you to do the duck fly. That's a real pain in the ###, or maybe that's a pain in the shoulders?

I too have heard that certain companies do this. One of them being US Xpress. Make you walk like a duck for 50 feet to simulate doing inspection under the trailer. I guess if you can't physically do a proper inspection, then they won't hire you.

Off Topic: Reminds me of a trucker I saw once that brought his trailer to the shop cause something was wrong with it. I asked him what was wrong with the trailer, and he said he didn't know. He wouldn't go under the trailer to look and find out cause he was wearing a white shirt. Omg lol? Truckers these days...

That reminds me of a driver for my company. His brakes were out of adjustment on his trailer. He knew they were knew how to adjust them but didn't have the tools. So I said here use mine. Still refused the guy dresses like he is at the office shirt and tie even. Gives me the sneaky uncle vibe but come to find out he did a roadside service call cause he didn't want to get dirty. Havant seen him in awhile.....
