DOT Physical question

Ok, so I've been off the road for a year, and I'm wanting to get back out there.
Since I wasn't driving, I never renewed my med card.
About to go get a new med card, but I have a question or 2.
Had a doc (after 2 previous docs never said anything) recommend I get a sleep study test.
I did an "at home" test cuz I didn't have the money for a "real" test at a dr office.
Test came back positive, mild, but enough they wanted to put me on a machine.
I have zero symptoms of apnea. Never once had any issues in the 5 years I drove.
Add to that it turns out I absolutely can not sleep with a facehugger on my head, in any way shape or form.
Also, the company I was using pretty much quit working with me. Requested a different mask to see if that would help several times, they never responded. So I said the heck with it.

Now to the question(s) lol.
Kind of a dumb question, cuz Im pretty sure it will, but that positive test result is still gonna show when the new doc checks my history, right?
Also, I've lost over 60 lbs since that last physical where the doc said "your neck looks a little big (did not take any measurements), I'm gonna recommend you get a sleep study done".
Would it be possible the new doc would take this into consideration and give me a pass on not needing all the c-crap stuff?
Or would he tell me to get retested and see if it fixed anything?

 

I already had to downgrade it when it expired end of last year. wasn't using it, didn't know if I'd get to drive again, so I voluntarily downgraded to save some time and money.
My thought process right now is to see if I can even get a med card 1st before I shell out time and money to get my cdl back. No sense in pursuing my cdl if I can't get a med card.

 

Am I reading your reply right? Are you saying that since I'm basically starting all over with a new cdl that anything on a past med history is null and void and I start over with a clean slate?

 

Funny you should say that, the place in town I'm planning on going to is actually a chiropractor lol
