A DOT Physical is the same no matter what state you may get it done in, correct? As an example I can get a physical in Georgia and get my license in my home state of Florida and it will not be a problem?
Reason I ask is because I am behind the 8-Ball to get everything done to register for school to start on May 22nd and I am headed to Georgia for a few days to celebrate my great-grandmother turning 100. Figured I could slip away while up there and knock out a physical to cross that off my list.
On another note, if you are traveling between Tampa and Warner Robins Georgia on I75 tomorrow stay clear of the 30 foot Cruise America RV ....![]()

Call the school and see if they will accept that physical.
wfutch79 Thanks this. -
You need to know two things with a DOT physical.
Say NO until the doctor runs out of questions prefaced with do you have...
Do not volunteer information. If the doctor does not detect a problem checking you, it is likely not a problem. Unless you make it one.ethos, BigTennOTR, G13Tomcat and 6 others Thank this. -

I don't know the answer to what the school will accept though. -
some companies will accept a DOT physical from any registered to do DOT physicals, doc,EMT, Nurse,clinic..some carrier will make you go to their doc.nurse, emt etc. you can get a physical in any state as long as they are on the DOTs register list.
As mentioned above do not volunteer any info not necessary, any past medical history that is not affecting you now do not mentions,,if you broke a leg, had a kidney removed do not mention .x1Heavy Thanks this. -
"Do you snore?" (trying to find sleep apnea problems)
"NO, my wife says I don't."
If you're a little overweight or have a large neck, many companies will want a sleep apnea test done. This is sometimes required with companies that require another physical because they don't accept your CDL school physical. If this is a concern to you, then apply with companies that don't require another physical.
