I have a question, I went to swift and their dot doctor said I have to do a sleep apnea test and hearing test because I was still getting over being sick and my ears were still plugged up. Could I go to a different dot doctor to get signed off or is it not going to let me do it anymore because sleep apnea and hearing deficit?
DOT physical question

They made me stand 6 feet away and did a really low whisper test and i had to reapat what she said back and I could only hear mumbling that's why she put me down for hearing deficit

Get a physical on your own at another place such as CVS Pharmacy or anywhere that's authorized to give a DOT physical. They're cheap; on average $100.00 or a little more or less.
CRST will accept an outside physical for their school, then you only have to complete an obligation of maybe 8 - 10 months and you can leave if you want and debt free.
I would call CRST and say you got a physical on your own and will they accept it, just to make sure they haven't changed the rules.
Otherwise, you'll have to get the sleep study done and it's not cheap. www.rpmhst.com is a website for sleep apnea supplies. -
Ok but if they already have that on file is it just on there forever cause they said my dot card will be only good for 90 and then it will be bad till ingot it done

Guess I misunderstood; thought you failed the physical.
I don't know what Swift policy is on that. Are they going to let you attend school on a 90 day card and also assist with the sleep study?BUMBACLADWAR Thanks this. -
They said I have to get the hearing thing done first because I have both but they will work with me with sleep apnea

Don't know about the academy . Swift usually takes current physical with long form
Chinatown Thanks this. -

Their a no chip reading fee with a sleep apnea if a driver has it.
I would say it all depends if Swift will take an medical card from another doctor other then their own. I guessing they won't because of a possible liability plus with possible sleep apnea.
Sleep apnea test is pain but not big deal. If a driver does not have it then they are good to go.
