Couple months ago I got my Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements. At the time the school district sent me to a clinic for a physical. Apparently the clinic sent the results to the district. I received nothing. No card to carry required. It was the DOT physical and I'm told I could get a copy of results from district.
Would this be sufficient as I start the process in June of getting the Class A and going to work OTR or Regional?
DOT Physical-your own or the Company?

you need to have your medical certificate card.
You should have a copy of both the long form and the card. Doctor should have handed it to you as you walked out. -
If your driving a big truck, You must have the card issued by the doctor on you or in your posession. some companies will let you use other doc, but they want the long form you receive from office.
-
You should've gotten at least a copy of your long form. Keep in mind each state handles the DOT Physical paperwork a little differently. Also if you go to work for a OTR company they probably give you a new DOT Physical. I don't know about when one upgrades from a Class B to A. Check with your State's DMV on that.

Some "agencies", when THEY pay for a physical, "own" it. So you don't get anything.
-
Whoever you go to work after school for is going to insist on a new physical anyway, regardless what you may or may not have done in recent past, and they will pay for it.

DOT requirements for class A cdl require a copy of long form on file with carrier, short form (card) carried with cdl license on the drier's person..its also a good idea to photo copy the long form and keep it on the truck..I've been asked for it before and we all know how paper receipts and such do in our wallets..they wear, get washed etc..it happens
at least with a photocopy they can see the date the physical was taken while waiting on a confirmation from your carrier in case your card becomes unreadable.some carriers will take the card, laminate it and give it back to you as well..
But you HAVE to have it. and almost all companies require the physical to be 30 days or less if you use your own DR r prior physical..
