My dad had been driving with first 5 miles on us route 15 southbound virginia. He got pulled by DOT and they charged him for having overall length more than 65 ft. He had 73 feet. Anyone else experienced it?

You must mean just outside of Leesburg VA...??
Yeah there are signs and they have been ticketing drivers for the same violation lately.... -
Signs for what? US 15 should be a qualified highway and part of the national network?
I guess they figure most will just pay the ticket. As for me, I have three court appearances this month because the DOT, EPA and cops that don't get punished for making false accusations. They just write tickets without thought for what it costs a business owner to defend himself. In short, they are crooks, liars, thieves, gangsters and extorsionists.
Fight the ticket on principle.Cetane+, KANSAS TRANSIT, LGarrison and 12 others Thank this. -
Don't sugarcoat it for us, Rank. Just tell us how you really feel.

On US 15 from The Md. Line to Leesburg it is well marked,no trucks over 65',been that way for as long as I can remember. The problem is if you don't know it,and get there,it's hard to turn around and go back, and you have to drive a long ways to avoid it.They've been writing trucks tickets there off and on for years. How much is the ticket?
flood, russtrucker and MJ1657 Thank this. -
