Double-clutch required. I have no problem doing it; just have a problem with the way it was worded in the manual. Was not provided a guide for the RPMs, but was provided verbally two different up--shift RPMs (the instructors disagree between 1300 and 1500, LOL), but I'm good with that, too. I know the truck.

I've only been herding trucks for a few miles and have never been to a truck school so.....every truck I've driven and any transmission(s) yeah some had more than one gear box were all the same. It's a diesel engine (2 stroke or 4 stroke) and an "h" pattern design. 250 rpm on the upsift and 500 rpm on the downshift. It's not rocket science at least it doesn't seem like it after 34 years. You'll do fine.

However, your next hurdle is just as big, which will be finding a decent company willing to put you to work. Do you have any prospects? -
I am currently attending orientation at Con-way.
