Haha. The EFI live tune that I run mostly is very clean no smoke. When I turn it to hot tune it gives a steady haze which according to my tuner is perfect, anything more is extra fuel burn for no reason

    csmith1281 and truckon Thank this.

What? Enviro friendly diesel tunes!? Things must have changed a lot since when I was playing around with mine. I've got a basically stock 2007 with a 5.9L and a smarty jr. It's nothing fancy but it does have some pep to the step and I love the black smoke. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know it's wasted fuel. I like it because it looks cool and it drives nattering ninnies nuts when they see it. I remember back then EFI live was the cat's ### for duramax. I guess they have it for all makes now.

Yeah true there are times I want to blow smoke in somebody's face lol. I may have him send me a smoke tune when I order the dsp5 switch. And yes EFI live put smarty and H&S to shame when they came out for Cummins. more power better fuel mileage, cooler running engine etc

    csmith1281 Thanks this.

CARB has cameras that they can run into your exhaust if they suspect your dpf isn't functional.

Don't need a camera, a exhaust pipe test would nail ya. but I have yet to hear one person with first hand knowledge talk about carb inspecting them. A lot of truck stop counter talk about some guy they know whose brothers wife's sisters neighbors uncle's boyfriend got inspected. But not a single first hand account.

An acquaintance of mine is involved with the OOIDA lawsuit. He's the only one I personally know of, and they're trying to stick him pretty good.

Not really. every single item on that list can be fixed for about 1 payment on a new truck.

In case you didn't know. The clutch brake can be replaced through the inspection hole. Nothing has to be taken apart. Chances are your clutch is getting ready to be replaced. The clutch brake normally lasts a lot longer then the clutch.

I just had my clutch replaced. Drove home 600 miles without a clutch last month

csmith1281, Grijon and double yellow Thank this.
