the real trouble with caps is low air pressure, same as with virgin tires. and when ya see caps , how many times are 8 tires the same, many times times they are all 8 different brands.

I am speaking of for instance of putting 4 bridgestone 710 recaps on the same axle installed by a bridgestone dealer. big difference.

that's occupational accident insurance, and the cost of taxes should incorporated under driver pay , I figure a paycheck for myself each week as if I am an employee, the rest stays in the truck account. I don't pay the bills then consider the rest clear money.

    That's the insurance.

Some of my problem would be believing that 0.36 per mile covers the average drivers wages, taxes, and insurance.

Double Yellow how much of your gross revenue of each settlement do you set aside for income tax? Ive heard Rutehrford mention .09% of gross rev on each settlement if you are leased to a carrier but Im sure that has to be different if you are independent but never heard him mention an amount for independents.

Missing from 'So far how am I doing?' are the weights of your loads. Brokers would often ask if I was leased to Landstar 'cause they always gripe about heavy loads. Makes a big difference as you well know. I'll take a heavy load I can drop before I get into hills or a light load anywhere.

Thought you had some no-weight insulation freight lined up...

I guess it would depend on how much someone is paying themselves.

The cost breakdown you see here is pretty standard. You include business expenses in the cost breakdown for the business.

Think of it this way, if you're employed by a motor carrier incorporated as a business, do they pay your personal expenses, and include them as a cost of them doing business? No. Your private business is the same way... you show the results for the business in your breakdown, the bottom line being net profit before taxes. On the personal side is where your expenses for health and life insurance, retirement, food, movies, lotto tickets, etc come in as a sole proprietor. The only way this comes in as a business expense is if you incorporate and provide benefits for your employees... such as group health insurance. The corporations split of such expenses then become a business expense.
