    I hope it slows down their ability to write new regulations.

    I bought a recent version of the FMCSR. It's over 700 pages and is much thicker than when I started driving in the late 90's.

    At this time, the FMCSA should not do a workforce reduction but increase the number of people to do audits on all carriers to fix a lot of the problems we have, then they need to do the same with Brokers.

    They did a little over 12K compliance reviews each year for the last 4 years. About half were offsite reviews.
    That can easily be increased without more people.

    12k is a sample, all of them need to be audited.

    That's very few audits.
    They can do far more than that with offsite reviews because most of them are just run through a program for the violations.
