What makes it illegal? Do you have any documents you would like to share that support this? Is it actually enforced, if so how? I have a hard time believing that there should be an issue with anyone installing a factory reman DPF on a truck.Or is it just that nobody has them in stock and only new are available at obvious increase in price.
DPF Cleaning, Air, Water? Whats the best method?

ok. I tried to wash a Dpf with water and looks like liquid cleaning is working. My water supply line has 45psi pressure. I just hooked Nelson 50503 High-Pressure Fireman's nozzle on the garden hose. Washed first opposite side of flow and removed fantastic size of black ash. It took about 20 minutes until clean water started coming out. Then washed flow direction and again black and brown ash came out. After that I was washing 5 minute one direction, 5 minute opposite direction. Brown pieces of ash was coming out very slowly. I finished washing in 45 minutes. At end I did measurement by wire and looks like it's clean. Really don't know if pressure washer would be used I would finish cleaning sooner or I could damage cell ends..
