I have been testing a product for DPF issues. Go to www.betterdiesel.com and buy their product called enerburn. It is specifically made for DPF systems. I have been burning 1 oz for every 75 litres of diesel fuel. Don't let it freeze if it is not mixed.
You will never have to force a burn again and your engine will run smooth as silk.
One of the trucks I used it on ran great. However, when it rained the wiring harness would short out throwing codes and derated the engine. The wiring harness was to expensive so we made the mistake of deleting the truck. I pull super b's and on a very regular run with a few big hills. After the delete I lost one gear on the hills and added 50 more litres every time I fueled.
It is pricey stuff but the fuel economy makes up for it.
When you concider the down time, the tow bills and the repair bills this product will save you more money than you spend on it.
It takes about two tanks of fuel to notice the difference. Some effects you will notice sooner.
When we deleted the truck the DPF filter amazed the shop. They said they have never removed filters that looked like that...ever.
Try it. I wouldnit lie to you and I have nothing to gain by passing this on to you.
Leave your comments when you try it.
Remember however, DPF systems have sensors that can fail. This dies not address the maintenance if the system. It only makes the system work the way it should. It keeps your egr system clean and free of carbon buildup.
