Hi guys, I’m new to the field. I’m in the process of getting a truck but I have a question. I do not plan on visiting California and would like to get a newer truck without dpf or def. Is that even possible without a delete kit?

It is possible, it's called a glider. Do some research first, because there are bith pros and cons to doing so.

And if you're "new to the field" then buying your own truck is a mistake. It will bankrupt you.
driverdriver, tscottme, Wingnut1 and 4 others Thank this. -

As already mentioned, you will want a glider. There is plenty of companies that will build you one but it’s gonna take several months. There are plenty of cat heavy equipment dealers that are in the game of building gliders now as well. Smart first bussiness decision you have I should ad. New truck with full warranty and long life of motor with no issues at all
LoneRanger Thanks this. -
Glider kit is just a rolling chassis bought of peterbilt or whoever you decide to buy from. Motor and trans added to your spec and your ready to rock and roll

It will bankrupt people with low education and pipe dreams but will not bankrupt people that are dedicated and have prepared for it

I’m having someone else run my company while I try something different.
So financially I’m ok.
Also first truck will be a used one until I learn the ropes.
