I'm going to be buying my first truck and trailer this week. I'm looking at a daycab single axle 410 hp with 22.5 inch tires. Im looking to haul a Take 3 3-4 car hauler with 18 inch tires. 3 on each side. Would this be a legal setup since the drives are bigger than the trailer tires? Also, if they're legal, what would be my average mpg if I had a load weighing 12,000 lbs, which is about 3 SUVs, and what can I do to increase my mpg. I've driven duallys with 3 cars that get around 8 to 10 mpg, but ive never driven 3 car haulers with a class 8 truck

Tires larger or smaller on tractor or trailer doesn't matter from a legal standpoint. Fuel economy would come from slowing down and making sure tractor is in good running order. Accelerating with a light foot will help.
