Not a solo-post, just joined. Let someone tell the truth without making yourself feel good. If you don't have nothing to say about the company on this thread, stay in the left lane and mash on it.

I'm just a trucker's wife, and I can tell you about my husbands experience at First Fleet. Where do I begin? From day one, it was a joke. The terminal he worked out of was operated about as well as a fly by night circus. He was promised mileage, certain trips weekly, and a pay he could depend on. What we ended up with was bills we could not pay, paychecks almost not worth cashing, and a lot of time sitting on the phone begging for work that was promised, that never came.

I have no reason to jump online and make negative comments about a company, other than it being the absolute truth. If you are considering leaving your current place of employment with a job with this company, think twice. Too many chiefs, not enough indians. Too many liars in management, and most importantly, management does not care about the driver. The only statement ever made that was the truth was about home time. My husband was home often, but we could not pay our bills because he did not get the 3000 miles a week that was promised to him. He was fortunate to run 1500, and that did not pay the bills.

I am sure that all terminals are ran differently, however, the company is one in the same. Management could use an overhaul. If you can survive on a measly $400-$600 paycheck, weekly, depending on mileage, (after taxes and insurance) then First Fleet is definitely an option for you. The holiday pay is a joke, not to mention the fact that you will spend most of your time on the phone with these jokers either pleading for more work, or change of plans every five minutes because that is how this place works. I cannot think of one positive thing to say about my husband's stay at this establishment. Thankfully, while we were still able to rebound financially, he was able to secure a good job.

Lastly, while my husband worked for First Fleet, he made several friends. A few of them were hard-working, dependable drivers. I can tell you that, none of these guys are employeed at First Fleet today. The good guys average about 6 months to one year with this company, because in that short time they either go under financially, or they see the light. Stay away from First Fleet.

Look around at the economy. If u think a $400-$600 check isnt worth cashing, then u and your husband need to find another career. Too many drivers want to start out at the premium level thinking that they DESERVE it. He was probably home everyday too on top of those $400-$600 checks after taxes. Its not an easy road in ANY industry to work your way up the ladder. Logetivity is the key. I know quite a few people that would love that paycheck. Respect is earned...NEVER given. Everyone else had to work HARD to get to where they are now. What makes yall so special? Trust me, its a tough industry. Yall might wanna move on if u cant handle the bottom of the totem-pole. U get back what u put in time.

I just could not let my wife respond for me, so I made my own account.

HwyPrsnr- You're a straight up #######, and not worth two seconds of my time. Why would you talk to a lady the way you just spoke to my wife? She was only warning potential employees about FF, and every word she said was the truth about the terminal that I worked out of!

I have been driving for a very long time, so don't insinuate that you know anything about me, or what my family deserves or does not deserve. I came from a company that I gave over 20 years of my life driving for, obviously I gave up a lot for FF. Therefore I do feel like I deserved more than being lied to! Also, I was not at home every #### day as you, once again, insinuated. I worked and I stayed out to provide for my family when the mileage was there.

I don't know where the hell you live that you think $400-600 a week is good money, but where I live, it barely pays my mortgage. I support a family of four, so I think it's pretty safe to say its not great money. I know what kind of industry it is, and I don't need an Internet bully such as yourself to educate me on truck driving. I don't feel entitled to anything, but I didn't just walk out of a trucking school either. I found a good job, and I bring home double what I brought home from FF. I suggest you get educated before running your mouth about something you know nothing about. I'm fairly certain that you dont work at the terminal I worked for, which tells me you know nothing about it.

You want to talk about respect, dude? You should try it. Most of your posts are rude, obnoxious, and pretentious. You talked to a woman you didn't even know with no respect. So you get what you give. 10-4 driver! Have yourself a great night bullying people on an Internet forum.

Ok...Whatever. Why dont u just make another account so u can agree with yourself again. Some of us are a little smarter than what u think. One post wonders with nothing to back up what your accusations u seem to be throwing around. It is also obvious u dont have quite the time in that u claim to have. Get real...Move on one post wonder. Seems u are the one with the REAL issues. Bye Bye.

I would agree with them HwyPrsnr. If you think that 400-600 a week is good money, I guess I would like to have your bills, and your family. But like your name says, you are a prisoner, so I would be guessing you have few bills, and no family. I may be wrong, but I doubt it. 400-600 a week, You realize you can make that, and stay near your house? Hell you can stay in your county.

So for the record, everything that BewareOfFirstFleetINC said is TRUE. good company, if you want to sit at home ALOT, earn little to no money, beg for loads, and be forced to sit at every poo-hole broker load for hours on end, for no pay!

Yeap, sounds like a good company.. NOT!

Well then. U might want to read what I posted again last time. My EXACT words were about it being NOT worth cashing. Get it right next time. But, I have no respect with those one post wonders that has nothing to offer the forum but junk. They obviously have nothing informative to bring to the table of the forum. The same person has 4 accounts which results in nothing but obsession to only complain. Way I see it is...Get Over IT...Get Real...Get A LIfe...Move On. That simple. Take a little time to re-read tho next time. Dont accuse when u mis-read. Saves time.

I agree with TNMomof3. My husband went to work for FF this Spring and for the first time in his trucking career, I actually had to get a job to help support us. He had another FF driver tell him the same thing about his wife. Even though my husband has never denied a load, he has to sit at home for days waiting on a call for a load which then is usually a short run no one wants and has hardly any miles. FF is bad about only giving the good loads to their favorites. My husband would come back and get on top of the list....only to be called last. $400-$600 a week is about right.

I drove for FF out of the Phoenix terminal. Made good bucks. Great bunch of people in Phoenix! Had a blast!

It was all dedicated runs. Did something change?
