Usually a scraggly beard and hair. Dark skin, etc. Never seen anyone from there?

Both situations are nothing to be amused of (If I put myself in their shoes I.e. show empathy)

    I guess that's lacking in today's environment.

So last time I mentioned this it was a CRST driver from the middle East that had no idea what A truck lane was. Today going down I-24 some guy doing 58 wouldn't move over to The truck lane. As I catch him I spot Miami on the side and eyeball him. Appeared to be Cuban or some such. Again, I wonder how they get their CDLs when the most basic things don't occur to them. At the J last night I spent 10 minutes trying to help a tanker driver get parked. He didn't speak English. Twice he tried to blindside park (there were two empty spaces) but he cut it miserably and was getting ready to hit a truck. I blew the horn. He pulled up and did it again. Finally I motioned for him to go turn around and come back. He did, but his set up was just horrid. It's like no one ever trained him. So he finally gets parked and the first thing I notice is one headlight out. I didn't even bother. Let the DOT fix him.

Being brown skinned has nothing to do with it. Bad training is an epidemic in this industry.

Idk what race or skin color has to do with any of this. I want to know where he picked up from and where he was delivering. I have my atlas out looking at the route he was on and you guys are trying to solve all the world's injustices. Lol.

I think that there is a valid point to be made about people from other countries coming here and not understanding or adapting to the way things are done here. The cultural differences between the US and the third world are striking and behavior that's perfectly normal in one place is not in the other. It's not a political correctness issue as much as the simple truth.

A few examples - you can bargain with a shopkeeper on produce prices and quality throughout Asia (Japan being exempt from this discussion because it's a First World nation) and South America. (Looking at you, Mexico City and Siam Reap) You don't do that thing at the suburban Kroger.

In many parts of the Middle East it is perfectly acceptable for a man to relieve himself in a public place. (Looking at you, Kabul) You don't do that here.

In driving these differences are stark and this is especially dangerous if an immigrant is not getting on board with the way we do things. You can't just barrel along in rush hour traffic in downtown Houston with 4 people on one scooter. (Looking at you, Bangkok) You can't just duct tape a passenger door back on a taxi, throw some saran wrap over the frontand call it a windshield while holding a flashlight out of the driver's window and mosey on down I-35 at night here. (Thanks taxi guy in Cairo)

Are all immigrants like this - unwilling or unable to adapt and assimilate? Of course not. No one should paint entire groups with one brush, but there are plenty who fall into this category. Pointing the behavior out isn't necessarily xenophobia or racism. Obsession with it is a different thing.

I believe there are individuals here that are obsessed with seeing everything wrong with non-American born persons.
