Does a restaurant give their chef permission to cough while cooking guests' meals? No. Does every chef cough sometimes, yes. If the chef is asking about coughing during the job interview, what is the restaurant manager supposed to tell him? Go ahead, or go outside? Did I eat and drink while driving, none of your business. Did I starve or dehydrate, no. Will you have one part of the company sending out text messages saying "no text messages" and another part of the company demanding you answer their text message promptly? Is anyone going to give you permission to break company rules? Will saying "but everyone else is doing X going to save your job? Be a responsible adult and don't set yourself up to fail. Getting sympathy after you are fired is not much comfort if you can't pay your bills. It's a job, not a daycare center. Do the job and do it like you are good at it and it's more important than "what Karen said about Julie who was just doing what Rachel said Melissa was doing." It beats being unemployed.
Makes me think of mounting a little gif of myself driving in front of the lens of the cam so it always looks like I've got hands at 10 and 2 with eyes on the road.
Make it a continuous loop like the one in that 'SPEED' flick, lol... Then you can drink 30-packs, do tequila shots, smoke crack & bang lot lizards to your heart's content as you tool down the road, lol... Good enough for that Hunter B. crackhead in the White House, good enough for me...
Dang, so it's really just keep your hands on the wheel and drive out here? Because I envisioned myself jamming down the road tuning in the best stations, eating carrot sticks, while listening to various audiobooks. With the occasional burping and farting too.... ha
I absolutely refuse to work for a company that has driver-facing cameras, full stop. I don't care if it's "not on," or there's "no audio," they're lying. Any company that wants to put that kind of surveillance on a driver isn't one I want to work for.
