It's really scary how much I've learned that I don't know about this job.

As any normal rookie would, I figured after training, in my own truck, I was big stuff. I screwed up everything on my first load by myself, from the macros on the qualcomm to the paperwork for the load, and I even took a wrong turn and wound up in a residential neighborhood. I will NEVER forget my first load as a newbie in my own truck. I made so many mistakes and yet while with my trainer I made almost none. He got back to safety and had high praise for me.

Oh well. Such is life. Nobody was killed and lessons were learned.

 

The Jones system teaches 16 and 7.5. You need a stop watch and binoculars, but it works well.

 

Finish your contract then move on. Just have to deal with Swift for now until your contract is over. Going down hills, ride the brake if you have to and don't worry about people behind you.
