Every now and then I go and help my driver so we can go nonstop for a few days. I use the Big Road app and he still uses the paper logs. Last week, he got his logbook inspected and the DOT officer told him he had to show proof that I indeed was his CO Driver. I was overseas since thats my actual day job. The DOT gave him a warning and told him I had to leave my login and password so they can inspect my logs to proved I was his Co driver. Anyone has any insight to this? Thanks

Interesting. Not sure I'd want to give out a login/password under any circumstance.

What if you were to print a copy of your logs for him to have available for DOT.

Yes, that sounds like a winner. Don't give any information like that to anybody. Print it out for them.

You can't win these arguments on the side of the road, but sure makes one want to ask if they would be so kind as to point out the reg that spells this out.

You're guilty until you can prove you're innocent. When we drive a commercial vehicle we give up all of our rights as citizens of the United States. One more reason to hate this BS job.

Who's to say he didn't do all the driving by himself.
Of course he has to show proof.
He got lucky with only a warning.

Why not just E-Mail them the logs? (Your co-driver)
