Driver leader, driver manager, dispatcher all the same thing.Coover Thanks this. -
That would work, but kind of defeats the whole point of hard wood floor. They install heated sub floors in houses so has to be a way to do something similar in a truck.

They said I wasn't eligible but they hired me again and I left because I waited more than a week for a truck after splitting with Co driver, they haven't put it on my report but you never know with these companies. I hired on again after a year and a half after they said I wasn't eligible so you could always try again .Toomanybikes Thanks this.

These do not rehires are not absolutes. A company will review your application and sometime they will take a chance on you, sometimes they won't. I have been exchanging emails with a driver that was fired and listed as do not rehire because he got confused and dropped a loaded trailer at a drop yard in east St Louis ( I think this is where that large drop yard is next to that racetrack just across the river in Illinois) not at the proper place in an industrial park several miles to the north. The driver liked his job and I am still working on helping him with that company.

Matched up with floor mats [or old carpet] for insulation to keep your feet off the cold floor. And you'll find the floor heat actually works better when it's blowing right on your feet instead off trying to heat up a heavy boot first.
They do make fancier heated floor mats, btw. Was trying to save you a few bucks. -
Swift hired me four times and I quit with no advance notice on three of those hirings. The last time I did quit was while under load with the flatbed division. I parked the loaded step deck with a lumber load at the Jurupa Valley terminal on a Saturday night, delivery was at 0900 on Monday, so they had time to repower for the 20 mile final trip. I know that is why they NEFR me my DAC. This was in September of 2015. Last time I checked, in April, I was still banned.
The only reason I go back to them is because they are in PHX and I live in Asia, so it's a close jump off point for me when I land at Los Angeles. I think they are a better company than Knight was.
Some people think I should get away from the megas, hell maybe from trucking altogether, as it's been nearly 5 months out of the truck now. CDL expires in April, so we'll see.
After all my expenses, I only netted $4300 for the 3 months I drove for Knight. It's really not worth it, but I get bored overseas and want to stay some what current with my CDL.Toomanybikes Thanks this. -
Swift and Knight aren't the only 2 companies in Phoenix.

my second truck was gutted by the previous owner, put in insulated floor and walls with that hydronic tubing on the inside and a espar D5 that circulated hot water though the tubes, it was like getting up in the morning at home.
