Welcome aboard, you came to the right place. We, at this site, have the luxury of a cat named Chinatown, and can inundate you with possibilities, but you need to be more specific. Since you've done the "regional" thing, I imagine you want to try and do over the road,, and perfectly understandable. The glitch is, the OTR drivers want local work, and the locals are bored and want more. If OTR is for you, you can't do it half azzed, meaning, you have to live in the truck, 24/7 and have no issues as to where you go. Side to side, top to bottom. Quite frankly, it's never been easier. You can't have a home, family or hobbies with OTR, trust me. I'll agree, right now couldn't be the more worse time to look, but OTR jobs seem plentiful, and Chinatown won't "bum steer" ya'. Whatever you do, don't burn any bridges where you are. Things change fast in this here industry. Good luck.

Who's good now? That's the question without an answer. Wages never caught up to inflation in the last 5 years so honestly I can't think of a single carrier that looks good to me. I'm also living on much less than ever before, forever changed. I don't splurge on purchases anymore. I just do what I can to pay bills and watch everything.

A lot has to change in order for me to be excited about my career again. I honestly don't know who's good in 2025. Just call me Debbie Downer.
