Shooting some one after altercation because you afraid of losing fist fight show lack of courage and balls. If every altercation end up some one dying we will be some third world country without laws.

I won't shoot "after" an altercation, and I have no fear of losing a fist fight. My old man had quite the temper growing up, and that led to a rather high tolerance for pain and a pretty #### good ability to take a punch. Your chances of hitting me hard enough for me not to laugh at you are pretty slim...I just have no desire to fight. It has nothing to do with "courage", or "balls". I simply wish to go about my business and go home without being bothered. I have neither the time nor the desire to get into a prolonged knock-down drag-out with somebody over nothing, so if that's what they insist upon, I will do what is necessary to end the confrontation in the least possible time and effort by whatever means I happen to have available at my disposal.

If every bully wound up dead, people would stop being bullies and the world would be a better place. Sure, it would be great to live in a society that was peaceful...where nobody ever fought and nobody ever needed to defend themselves. That isn't the reality we face, though. Whether it is a mob protesting the latest "injustice" or just some lone hot-head hell bent on causing trouble, you just never know when your well-being will be in jeopardy. You have every right to face those situations with nothing more than your fists if you so desire, and good luck to you should it ever come down to that. I'm sure your widow will take comfort in the fact that you faced the situation, whatever it was, like a man...and if you do survive, I hope the medical bills and time off work recovering don't bankrupt you, because your alleged "manliness" having duked it out won't pay the bills. I don't place much value in luck, and will do what is necessary to ensure that I don't make a widow out of my wife. If that means shooting someone who is attacking me, so be it. If that means putting the truck in gear and letting out the clutch to run over a mob that is trying to smash the windows of the truck and drag me out of it, again, sucks to be them. Whatever it takes for me to neutralize the threat and get home is justified by the fact that I'm not wearing a toe tag. Ends justify the means.
