    So that's that then.

    Thank you everyone.

I don't know anything about the Law themselves getting at the wood. That driver was assigned to go to Atlanta with it. (*I wont get into 7 hours for a flat) and that truck should not have been prevented from leaving to go to Atlanta.

Anyone care to take a shot at that?

Im thinking also no prosecution here. In fact Im kind of leaning towards a old time way of confiscation for the good of the Nation or whatever level of Government that does the confiscation. Such as might happen in time of war. But I do not have the necessary knowledge to argue a case with a cop on the fuel tank saying that load is his now.

Only IF Home Depot was billed for the product and associated freight charges, but since nobody from Home Depot was there to recei ve the product, they never assumed responsibility for it. If Western Express did not bill for the freight charges, and if Western Express also paid the shipper for the merchandise (or if the shipper, upon seeing what had happened decided to write that shipment off as a charitable donation to the hurricane relief), then there would be nothing to prosecute. Home Depot wouldn't have a leg to stand on legally because they weren't billed for anything. The shipper wouldn't have a leg to stand on legally, either, because either they'd get paid by Western Express or write off the shipment (their choice). Western Express would have the positive PR having been seen "helping people in their time of need".

I think it's a case of driver didn't like company and saw an opportunity to make them look bad publicly while making himself look like a saint and it back fired on him.

Wow, so Tim McRory is the real victim here! Poor guy ends up not having a job after simply helping needy people. Next, the bigwigs at Western Express go to Facebook to claim he fired himself!
