Ok, just to make clear I do not think it would be in the best interest of society to prosecute him.

That being said, he could still be charged and a request made to move the venue to be able to find a neutral jury. Of course it might not be granted, but it can happen.
In this case it likely will not be granted, as there will not be anyplace in Florida that would be more neutral. So since the processor knows this, you are correct he will never bring charges.

I do know how it works. Which is, not very well for a lot of people. Not everything in life should be about making a profit at all costs

The only thing worse than capitalism is any of the other choices out there that have been tried and failed.

As you are diving you see a car run off the road and burst into flame.

As you drive by you can hear the people screaming. Do you stop and grab you fire extinguisher and try to help the victims? Or do you think there is nothing I can do, because the company owns the fire extinguisher and I will be stealing from the company if I use it to save lives?

For all of you who think the driver should be fired I hope it is not you or your family trapped in the fire.

This diver made a good, humane choice. You all stand back and criticize the people that were unable or unwilling to leave the area. The people were running from the storm to the Tampa area because the storm was going to hit the east coast. As the course of the storm changed and Tampa looked to be in the bullseye of the storm there was no way to run. The traffic on I-75 was bumper to bumper and not moving. If you could move you could not find fuel. At that point you are stuck and need to fortify your home. Shelters were full and you try to do the best you can.

So #### you for your high and mighty attitude and I hope you find yourself never needing help. I have yet found a place on earth where an act of God will not affect you or your family. I hope you are not the driver who get forced off the road and somebody has to call a rescue squad to come and cut you out of the cab. I sure hope you are not the parent of a child that falls into a pond and a police officer jumps into the water to save your child. I hope you are not the one who has a sick child needs a cool place to store his medicine and your whole neighborhood has no power for days. There is no gas, there is no ice, and a stranger has to give you a generator to save your child.

The man gave some plywood away to save lives. Pat him on the back and shut your #### mouths.

If someone walked up to your truck and demands your load as he sticks a gun in your face would you call dispatch to ask if you should let them have it? Well Mother Nature had a gun named Irma aimed at this town and the driver did the right thing. Get over it!

There was nothing to buy and not everyone has the money after you buy extra food and water. Plywood, fasteners, gas cans, water, food, and more all were sold out. And yes it would be nice if everyone had a chance to buy ahead but the tv stations have cried wolf so many times people are conditioned to take the treat with a grain of salt.

Look, hindsight is 20-20, but the fact is the storm was heading up the east coast and the east coast people were traveling to the west coast for safety. Supplies were short and there was a need for more supplies. And one could flip the question around and ask why did Home Depot and Lowe's not send extra loads of storm supplies before the storm? They knew the storm was coming days ahead of time.

If a tornado (or hurricane?) passed thru MY house/property, anyone still here trying to survive sure COULD get supplies. I rarely lock my door.

Have you all heard, all that $ they raised for the guy, is in fact paying for the lumber? It's on that Tracy Dillon Drew's fb page.

And?!?!?! I bet a few consciensious people that were helped, have paid up as well. Not a 'poor' part of the state, if that matters. Nobody was stealing Nike's there.

I'm sure there are those who would consider that to be true, convoluted as that thinking is.
And those who won't forget that.
