So 1 Jackknife and 1 Roll over.... Sounds like the only thing missing is him killing someone. Maybe that will be his 3rd F-up.

He needs a new occupation this one is obviously way to much for him.

A rollover from Taking a curve to fast is in my opinion negligence I could see if he had to hit the ditch cause a car pulled out in front of him or a kid ran across the street something he maybe should of anticipated but a curve travelling over the limit with paper rolls and an experienceed driver that is negligence.

I would like to know more about the jacknife event was it similar negligence? Was it truly unavoidable was it mechanical...

What I would do IF I did give him a chance though is govern his ### to 55 put a forward and driver facing camera in his truck and tell him he will have to pay for it... Why cause you are the only person going to give him a chance to save his career

All accidents are caused by someone or something going terribly wrong. If a person repeats those actions then another accident is going to happen. However, if a person never makes the same mistake then that accident will not happen again. Or so says Captain Obvious.

Someone has two accidents. Can you get insurance on the person? If so, then yes. But insurance is something that is required by law. So it is not really in the hands of my company. It is in the hands of lawyers. And we know what effect lawyers have on wet dreams.

He hit the brakes hard while in the curve? Before the curve? Just before getting past a 45° angle to vertical?

A rollover is one of the deadly sins IMHO. Insurance has nothing to do with it. If it was my truck he wouldn't be qualified to polish the tanks.

Who cares what the circumstances are, the records show an accident, roll over so no I would never hire the guy, he wouldn't make the first cut.

And the victim's lawyers would point the fingers at you. Say goodbye to most of your assets -- no LLC or corp is going to prevent you from personally being liable for hiring a driver that 99% of companies wouldn't touch.

Thank you everyone for replying. I was looking for the expert input on this which I got. If the large companies with all the resources won't hire this person.... it would be a terrible decision for a new startup like me to take him on.

Not to mention, if anything else were to happen, insurance underwriters have been known to drop their coverage because of too many claims.

To fast info a curve with rolls of paper, His record shows hes dangerous, drives to fast for conditions, and or follows to close which translates to fast for conditions. Short answer is no, you dont want no 3 in your truck.

A jacknife and a rollover are related IMHO. Both are caused by gross inattention to the fundamentals of driving a truck. One and done. Two and you are past done.
