Driver with just 1 year of driving experience

    Hi. Friend of mine from Europe wants to go with me to a CDL school but he has exactly 1 year of driving experience. In Europe he never owned a car. I think his driving is just fine, but he is really concerned because he is not sure if any trucking company will hire him with so little record. Do you think he has real chance to be hired or not?

    He has one year of trucking? Even though it was in Europe...

    I don't think that would be as big of an obstacle as a big employment gap or a bad driving record.

    No, he has 1 year experience driving a car:) Class C. He has actually 11 months and a 1/2 of experience as a driver. Clean but very short record.
