Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

I've been here 7 months and rates have been generally the same.
Some weeks are a little better or worse than others but no big deal. -
The overall world economy is starting a downward slide Gold , Oil dropping if the FEDERAL interest rates go up in Sept and that will put a slump into trucking
-
Interest rates go up to protect against inflation. Inflation of consumer prices have a negative effect on the trucking industry. The price of gold is a side effect of interest rates. If you can get a better return elsewhere, gold prices drop. Oil prices falling make consumer prices drop, which in turn makes the economy stronger. A stronger economy means more goods being shipped. More shipping will support more transportation.

I have been in this industry for 27 years. When I started my Dad had been a truck driver for over 20 years. I have been around this business for all of my 48 years. There have been bad years and good years, but overall the trucking industry keeps growing. I can't predict the future. I can only try to do what I think will provide the most income for my family.

I play the lottery so I can drink more beer.
(Everytime I buy a lottery ticket I buy a 12 pack...Better return on my investment)
Of course I am kidding.Opus, icsheeple, Old - School and 4 others Thank this. -
I buy lottery tickets also. I know when I'm buying them I don't have much chance of winning. Sometimes in life the adventure is worth the cost of admission.
Old - School, 91B20H8 and TennMan Thank this. -

NEWS FLASH when the ECONOMY TANKS nothing keeps growing , just look at the # of major players in the trucking industry that have gone BUST over the years and if interest rates go up companies stop expanding , people stop borrowing and overall spending declines and that effects the transportation / trucking industry.

You can get mad and quote me in red, but that does not change the facts. Companies with bad business models often fail, but that does not prove an entire industry is in decline.
Long FLD, Old - School and runningman0661 Thank this.
