I'm leasing on with them next month. Buying truck from guy who's been there for 13 years. He said you can't pay him enough to leave. Last quarter pay average for flatbed O/O's was $2.64 per mile, according to Jones office.

Jones is all right on the van side, thats if you dont mind chasing your own frt. I was on the van side and 98% of my loads were broker frt. After all said and done i really didnt make the money they claimed i would, so we went are separate ways.

I am currently leased on with Hot Shot Express, a division of Jones. All I have seen is they lie and expect you to haul cheap freight just to satisfy their customers. As long as they get 26% of your money, they dont care if you dont make money. I am currently in the process of leaving them and leasing on with American Eagle Logistics.

We are unfortunately leased to Jones, we are looking to go
elsewhere. The people in Pa are nice people but some of the
higher ups is where the problem comes in at. They have
no freight, if there is any it's being held for their special
drivers. When we come here we had money in the bank
and bills were paid now I got bill collector's calling me.
If you know someone there then you may have a chance ,
if not don't waste your time. It's a joke.

To be clear, you're with Jones Motor Company, not Jones Express. I'm not familiar with Jones Motor Express. Also, in order to qualify you for the the govt loads we discussed, I had sent you and your codriver a form to fill out. You didn't. That freight opportunity is something most teams would kill for. Rather than putting in the effort, or calling me for help, you've done something like this. It's a shame.

After reading this thread over and over it appears that the negative is from digrunted drivers who think they can make it without working. I will keep an open mind, but need more information please, before I put my name on a piece of paper. Keep in mind that I am looking at the "Southern Dry Van" lanes.

    1. What is the policy and availability of 53' trailers? Price per week or month?

    2. I am not against finding my own freight, as a matter of fact this is how you as a company makes money!

    3. Does Jones Motors Express give FSC on "their" loads and how much is it right now?

    4. What kind of Rate per Mile can I expect on "THEIR" freight? (this can be given to me on a PM, which I perfer)

    5. What is "their" plate and permit program? What state is the plate?

Before you ask, no I have not spoken to a recuriter as of yet, I want real answers, to real questions, not answers that a person wants to hear. In other words, no BS.

As I said before, I live in South Carolina, in Dillon County, 12 miles from Harbor Freight. I say Florence because it is the nearest city.

Thanks to everyone who is willing to give me the facts!:biggrin_25514:

I'm leased to Admiral Merchants and my home agent is also an agent for Greentree and Jones.
He says that Jones is by far the best of the three and has all of his own trucks contracted to them.
