That's not as bad as the title sounds.

And what if the driver is staying at a hotel that only has street parking? Should he count 1,000 feet to see if he can sleep good at night?

    Yes it is.
You’re talking about the 3rd largest city in the state that has basically banned truck parking on its streets. And San Antonio doesn’t have much truck parking to begin with-even if you go to trucks stops on its outskirts it’s very limited. And when that ordinance goes into effect all the local drivers will take any free available parking first chance they get!

    Choose hotels with truck parking
    Who parks in residential areas?
Check with shipper/receiver on accessibility. Plan ahead
I don't like most city ordinances, but end of day you have to take it

San Antonio is essentially turned into a garbage city to begin with… Used to be nice, but not anymore

1.Not all hotels allow truck parking
    2. Some owner operators as well as company drivers park their trucks at home on their property
(It’s been discussed here numerous times in threads elsewhere).
    3. Sometimes even the best laid out plans can go awry, especially if you have a shipper/receiver that runs your clock out waiting to get loaded/unloaded.

This doesn’t solve the issue, it just moves it to someone else’s doorstep.

    1. If a hotel doesn’t allow truck parking then I simply choose one that does.

    2. If they’re parking on their own property then that means they’re not parking on the street.

    3. I got nothing cuz some shippers and receivers just suck.

I started clicking around, there are some that are full, and there are some that have 50+ spots available, with one location having 109 available spots.
