I see that some of those who posted to this topic seem offended.

If you agree with what roadtech said, then you probably are not the kind of driver we're talking about.

    And then there's tucker's response

Great response... l laughed, but in a way, it was kind of sad. I sure hate to think of him/her wearing that in this summer heat.

I think the concept that it is very easy to offend someone is one of the biggest flaws in our Society.

It is good to perhaps go over something that is a problem but not good when offended people pile in and bray that their feelings got hurt. And to make matters worse, everything you say or write is somehow weaponized against yourself or someone else by a third party.

Sometimes it's necessary not to say anything at all.

I was watching some films made in the 50's recently and was struck by the differences in common talking in that era versus now. I also noticed that certain movies that are rather strong are not aired these days on regular television anymore. It's unfortunate. But only for myself. Not for anyone else.

More drivers look like Labrador Retrievers now.

How should women truck drivers dress?
Would open toe shoes be ok for them?

Had this been a truck driver, he would have left the cart by his door and threw his trash and pee bottles in it.

Does wearing company uniform makes you look like a driver or no?

    Asking for a friend

Not necessarily.... But if it is mandatory then it probably helps when you are at the shipper or consignee to be more recognizable.
