I agree with you. That's the politically correct world we live in today.

But if someone offends you (you personally), do you keep your mouth shut or, do you say something about it?

I think the shorts have been used for a long time by the likes, of UPS, FedEx, and the food service truck drivers like Sysco, and others. But they wear boots and a company shirt. With shorts that are usually khaki.

Oh driverdriver... you sure know how to open up a can of worms. I may have gotten myself in BIG trouble a few minutes ago when I quoted ROADTECH. Mind you, I quoted a segment of his message which I felt was perfectly in the context of his entire post, but I am worried that it might be construed by someone who is glancing through this thread as possibly the only thing he said, or worse yet, take it out of the context of the body of what he wrote. I honestly felt that it was in the "spirit" of the main theme of my original post which introduced this thread. I hope those who read my post are open minded enough to trust my word and my judgement, that it was in the "spirit" of the intended theme of this thread. However, immediately after posting that message, a very astute member (who shall remain nameless for the sole purpose of protecting his wisdom and reputation) with a long and trusted reputation for being fair and good natured, posted something which I (and I could be completely wrong about this) felt was a very polite admonishment. He pointed out that it is perhaps better to say nothing than to offend someone. I completely agree with him and I immediately editided my post. I am very thankful that he brought to my attention, something that might have been construed as deliberately 'mean spirited' and offensive to anyone who is following this thread.

That said, your post (which I thanked) in the context and harmless spirit of this thread --- as poinent and powerful is it might have been, might be construed as suggesting that a shirt with a collar is recomended as a way of projecting the image that we are talking about. If may please explain to those who are on the fence and possibly thinking that we have a legitimate point... that[!], we are NOT advocating for collars. COLLARS are a wonderful option and if someone is moved toward upgrading his/her appearance and a collar is suitable to them..... then it would certainly be a nice choice.

    roadtech and driverdriver Thank this.
