Drivers don't look like drivers anymore

This thread just went off the rails...and I'm ROTFLOL about it.

 

I still want to know why it’s wrong to wear sandals, shorts and a T-shirt if I’m not dealing with customers that day?

 

Trucking is a profession and flip flops is not part of the uniform of the day. Steel toes, jeans, work gloves, eye pro, -safety vest and hard hat when needed are.

 

I dress basically with T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Sometimes wear a hoody.

I think I look more like somebody who could be working in the Geek Squad at Best Buy or one of those guys running the Verizon booth in the truck stops.

 

I think every driver wears all the protective gear the customers demand when at a customer.
You’d look like a doof wearing a safety vest and hard hat into the Pilot.
