Drivers don't look like drivers anymore

Wouldn't do it myself, but I got mad respect for those brave enough to march to a different drum.

 

Having just recently got back into LTL and it might sound stupid but I like rocking my company uniform at the truck stops, I don't think I am better than anyone else or think that I am a super trucker, but personally I do like looking professional, in the 22 years I have been in this occupation I have never worn shorts or flip flops, always wore whatever the company I worked for required or if they didn't provide uniforms, I would wear blue jeans, t shirt (carhartt t shirts the thicker ones), a ball cap and steel toed boots, now I am not advocating going back to cowboy boots, tucked in western shirts and big belt buckles, but in my opinion the shorts flip flop look should be reserved for the lake or the beach, not in trucking, in my opinion you guys that do this look like crap and make our industry as a whole look like crap, yes I get the comfort thing but I can run anywhere from 10 to 14 hours a day in uniform and be comfortable, I will admit that I do have the luxury of running terminal to terminal and I am put up in hotel rooms everywhere I go, but come on, I know there is plenty of room in those sleeper trucks for extra clothes, you guys can't just at least change into something decent for the visit to the truck stop just sayin.

 

I absolutely hate John Wayne, he was a hack that couldn’t act, he never became another personality or character. He always played a dull boring dud.
Had Bruce Willis or Mel Gibson been around back then we never would have heard of JW.

It’s a different world.To each his (or her) own. Don’t crack on my boots and I won’t crack on your flip flops! It takes all kinds to make the world.I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. However if you want to be treated with respect it’s best to appear respectable.

 

I've enjoyed everything I've seen with Mel in it far superior than Bruce.
Die hard was about the only thing he was good in and it was more about those Die Hard movies being good not him.
Matter of fact he's pretty much washed up , he should of quit while he was ahead. I've watched several of his last movies , calling them B movies would be an over statement.
