I'm all about comfort while driving. I wear slip off shoes,(no laces), that I slip off when getting in my truck. No way I'm carrying the nastiness of a truck stop parking lot into my truck! I wear shorts or Levi's jeans with a t shirt. I typically shower and shave 6-7 days each week. I always look presentable to the public or the customer. I honestly don't care what some driver thinks about my appearance, especially when some look like they're homeless. But I wouldn't ever wear flip flops in public out of respect for myself and others.

What I wear depends on what I’m doing that particular day.
If I’m loading/unloading it’s boots, Duluth work pants, and a plain t-shirt of some kind. Gotta look respectable for the customers, right?
If it’s just a travel day I’ll wear whatever I want as long as it’s comfortable. Most of the time it’s gym shorts, a Grunt Style t-shirt or maybe a sleeveless shirt, and sandals or tennis shoes. If I’m just driving all day and my only contact with the public is getting food or fuel at a truck stop then why does it matter what I’m wearing as long as I’m clean?
Wearing cowboy boots doesn’t make you a cowboy. Wearing flip-flops doesn’t make you a beach bum. Stop worrying about what kind of clothes everyone is wearing. As long as a person is clean and respectful then who cares if he or she wears Nike basketball shorts or Levi jeans?Oldironfan, 18 wheels of fury, tucker and 1 other person Thank this.
