Drivers Legal Plan

In all my years of driving, I have only met one officer who did anything questionable.

 

Consider yourself fortunate......and keep driving......I'm sure you will meet another one.

 

In all of mine, I have never met a bad trooper.

I have met one at the scale in MN, but even to this day, I still do not carry any of the worthless legal plans.

Do not see the need.

 

I can tell you from personal experiance that there are MANY smart mouthed leos out there. And often times it is VERY uncalled for. You guys may be the type that beleive that cops can do no wrong but I see things for what they are. And btw if you watch the news you would see that coruptness runs DEEP in law enforcement.

I seriously doubt it. Its clear you are one of the types I outlined in my last comment.....so we will juust have to agree to disagree.

 

Considering that I know a great many drivers who run without this crap and never have a problem.

It does make one wonder.

So agreeing to disagree is best.

 

As for me I wasn't speaking about the prepaid lawyer stuff I was just making the point that there are a great many "mr bigshot" smart mouthed crooked officers of the law out here that's all.

 

Some driver's attitudes show in their posts. They often seem to be the ones having the most trouble with LEOs.

As for calling things like they are you won't find anyone more likely to do that than me. Nobody, including myself, gets a break on this. It is what it is.

There may well be some crooked LEOs, I can't imagine there aren't with the constant decay of our society. I'd guess I never gave them a reason to enter the attack mode on myself.

As for prepaid legal, I tried it in the late 70's or early 80's when they were starting out. It didn't pay off since the attorneys want to charge you anyway on top of the monthly fee.

I fight all my tickets and usually pay $250 to $600 to get them reduced to equipment violations. I don't get too many so I find it cost effective to just pay as I go. I've had 3 in 8 years and it cost about $1100 to dispose of them. Eight years of Pre-Paid Legal would have cost at least $2,880 plus any additional fees.

With the new CSA, you won't be getting many tickets and keeping your CMV driving priviledges even if you get the tickets reduced. So I suggest everyone look at the true value of a legal plan. I just don't see the value. They made sense back in the day but this is now.
