I NEVER said you should (or I would) mace someone who was being a nuisance. I said I carried mace instead of a gun, and have used it when I was threatened or attacked..not jst BOTHERED.

Here's the thing. Brake Clean sprays in a stream that you can block. I personally don't know how mace sprays but I know the chemicals are what causes it to do what its supposed to. So the Brake Clean is just gonna get the person your spraying high and make their eyes burn alittle.....

Besides that, a water hose to the face will confuse someone enough to get close.

I was thinking along the lines of just using Ether...... Just stand there with your lighter. I'm sure they will think twice about what they are going to do....lol

BTW you got blasted for the circumstances of the macing not the use of it.

Actually not, statistics show most people end up getting shot with their own gun! So I read somewhere.

Sheesh, you guys are funny. Did you even read in context when we were talking about a guy blocking the fuel lane for 30-45 minutes and threatening an old guy with assault?

You don't get to pick and choose my sentences without using them in context. I've never done it, and I've never condoned macing someone for poops and giggles - only if they've displayed the desire to hurt someone, threaten someone, etc...

Then of course, you get Freebird's answer, that whole "us against them" mentality. What a serious steaming crock of BS.

Either way, it was just an idle threat. I don't condone it, but I also don't think it deserved a macing. People make stupid threads all the time.

 

Better mace than Brakleen or bear spray, and I don't see you guys jumping all over the people who suggested those two... I guess your prejudice is showing, since I'm a retired military cop, you'll only take exception when you want to...
